We’ve Got New Navigation!
Reporting in GameAnalytics just got a whole lot easier
We have an early present for you. Today we launched our latest upgrade to the GameAnalytics tool: navigation designed to make your life easier. This is one of the biggest changes we’ve made to the interface in the last year – take it as a sign of some great things to come! ?
So how exactly will this impact you? Take a look at the before and after comparison below, or login to GameAnalytics and check it out for yourself.
Old Layout | New Layout |
Now the custom dashboards have the attention that they deserve.
More details about this update:
Navigation goes a long way towards making the tool easier to use. Now your most important reports are ready for action, straight from the sidebar. In a nutshell, it’s now easier than ever to switch between your games, access your reports and manage your dashboards.
Better feature discovery
As you can see above, the old layout was built around a two-tiered menu structure, which meant that some of our coolest reports were a little difficult to find (especially for users new to the tool). We noticed that many of you weren’t discovering these useful reports – our bad! That’s exactly what this change aims to fix, so that everyone can make the most of GameAnalytics.
Powerful report switching
You can now compare metrics across all games in your account from any report, in one click. What does this mean? Well, if you want to compare your progression metrics across different platforms, all you need to do is switch to the relevant game instance with the selector at the top of the sidebar. We’re planning on adding reports across game entities soon!
Quick and easy navigation
With this update, the out-of-the-box dashboards now live right in the sidebar, just one click away. Not meaning to blow our own trumpet, but we consider this “UI fit for a GameDev”. These dashboards give you an immediate insight into the health of your game, without too much fiddling and configuration, so it’s important that they take center stage.
Stay Tuned!
This isn’t the only thing we’ll be changing around here. Our engineering teams are working hard on improving our reporting – and we can’t wait to share these changes with you in the new year. ?
